Officials break ground on new Polk County 911 dispatch center [Video]

POLK COUNTY, Mo. (KY3) – Monday marks the start of construction for a new 911 Dispatch Center in Polk County.

Missouri Governor Mike Parson gathered with other state leaders to witness the ground breaking of the facility. Until the center is finished, dispatchers are working out a leased space.

The new development brings hope for growth in the Bolivar community, and the potential for more jobs in the future.

The state is providing $4 million to help build the facility. In the meantime, Polk County Central Dispatch will provide the remaining $2 million. They hope to have the building done by the spring of 2025.
