SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Olympic athlete Taryn Kloth is making her way to the courts in Paris with the USA Sand Volleyball team.
She has a lengthy resume for her volleyball credentials that includes her time at LSU and Creighton, but the start of her career can be traced back to a gym in Sioux Falls.
Young players from Kairos Volleyball 14 Beta team said Taryn Kloth serves as an inspiration and role model, especially knowing that Kloth once played on the same courts as them.
“It shows you can also do that, like you can go be A-one at the upper level, too,” said Beta Team member Briley Laber.
Kloth’s former coach at O’Gorman High School said that she didn’t know Taryn would make the Olympics, but she always knew she would go far in the sport.
