SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – There’s more legal trouble for a Morrisville contractor. A new lawsuit shows Aaron Bailey with Dream Home Builders owes thousands for insurance on his workers in case they got hurt.

Customers paid him thousands, waited months, and the jobs were not done. Court documents reveal that, at the time he took on new jobs, he was behind on work comp insurance payments. He didn’t pay up then, and he’s being sued.

“It was going to be a master bedroom back there,” said Shelly Winterberg. “A closet, pantry, and dining room. And this part is a living room, a great room.”

Winterberg hired Aaron Brisley back in the fall of 2023. She paid him $45,000 for a home remodel and says all she got was a cement pond.

“I contacted him several times. He said we’ll be out to pump it out. Never saw him.”
