Over half (51%) of Irish employees would not accept a job that didn’t offer hybrid working, according to new research by recruitment firm Hays Ireland.
And such is the demand for remote work 46% of employees said they would even accept a reduction in salary to be allowed work remotely.
According to the Hays Ireland Salary & Recruiting Trends Guide 2025, work-life balance continues to be a major priority for Irish employees.
It found 61% of employees said they are satisfied with their work-life balance.
A further 12% said they were very satisfied and 26% suggested they were very dissatisfied or dissatisfied.
The research also found 26% of employees changed job in the past year because they wanted a better work-life balance.
Flexible working hours and shorter commutes were cited by employees as key factors in improving this balance.
Currently, 45% of employees are working in a hybrid model, while 40% are fully office based.
