According to a permit filing at the business’ address, a new development of a Holiday Inn Express will sit where the putt putt course is now.
TYLER, Texas — It’s the end of an era for family-owned Putt-Putt Golf & Games in Tyler after welcoming many generations for over six decades. The mini golf course closed its doors permanently Sunday night.
Weeks before school starts the mini golf course would normally be busy with mini golfers spread across multiple holes and playing retro games inside enjoying a cold treat.
“People have fun all the time. We had birthday parties, church groups, and daycares that would come,” said owner Katherine Adair.
Monday was all about clearing out the location. Heavy machinery broke the silence Monday morning.
“We have to take everything off the property we want to take with us,” Adair said.
