Parts of CT received several inches of snow; hundreds of schools delayed or closed NBC Connecticut [Video]

The workweek started off with snow and a wintry mix that caused some problems for the Monday morning commute and prompted hundreds of schools have a delayed opening or close for the day.

Some parts of the state had a light glaze of ice while others received several inches.

  • Bridgewater: 3.75 inches
  • New Fairfield: 4 inches
  • Southbury: 3 inches
  • Southington: 1.75 inches
  • Watertown: 2 inches

In Manchester, a vehicle jacknifed on Interstate 84 West, closing three lanes on Monday morning. It happened near exit 62 and state police said no injuries are reported. The scene has since cleared.
