Pedals for Progress Vermont celebrates 26 years [Video]

The non-profit organization Pedals for Progress Vermont held its 26th annual Bike and Sewing Machine collection at Saint Michael’s College, marking a significant milestone in its mission to transform lives through generous donations. Over the years, this community initiative has positively impacted the lives of thousands around the globe.The final day on Saturday marked a special achievement for the organization, as they celebrated the donation of their 5,000th bike since the initiative began in 1999. These donated bikes and sewing machines will be shipped to low-income families and environmental activists in various countries.Co-coordinators Paul Demers and Joanne Heidkamp emphasized the profound impact of these contributions. “These items will literally change lives in the developing world.
