The two United States College Hockey Organization ranked schools will face the Cardinal/Panther Classic women’s hockey tournament championship. The No. 6 Plattsburgh State Cardinals scored a game-winner in overtime against the undefeated St. Norbert University Green Knights in a 2-1 win. Bridget Orr put in the game winning goal after making a nifty deke on her defender, leading to an open shooting lane and a shot which hit the back right of the net. Natalie Hogan sent the game into overtime in the third period after a game-tying breakaway goal, while Emily Kasprzak scored the game’s first goal to give Plattsburgh the initial 1-0 lead.The No. 3 Middlebury College Panthers dominated from start to finish, picking up a convincing 4-1 win against the Endicott College Gulls.
