ST. MARYS, W.Va. (WTAP) – Local businesses were impacted by the recent winter storm and are preparing for another round of snow to come this weekend.
The winter storm the MOV saw at the start of the week dropped more than half a foot of snow between Sunday and Tuesday. This caused businesses to close for much of Monday.
The Pizza Station in Marietta was among those that closed. Manager Justin Brookover said they closed early on Sunday so younger staff who did not have as much experience driving in snow could get home safely.
He said they were closed on Monday due to people not being able to get out because of the snow.
Heading into this weekend, He said they are planning on operating as normal, and will keep an eye on things in case they have to close.
