Popular bar in Buckhead closing its doors [Video]

ATLANTA — A popular Buckhead sports bar is closing its doors after 14 years in business, the owners of the establishment announced on Facebook on Wednesday.

The Ivy, located along Roswell Road, will be having its grand finale celebration on New Year’s Eve as they “toast to the end of an era and the start of something new.”

However, it doesn’t appear that this is the end of the journey for the ownership group quite yet.

The owners, Jamey and Benjie Shirah, announced that they are excited to share that they are working on something “exciting.” They described their new venture as “an evolution of this concept that reflects who we’ve become and the vision we now have.”

The Ivy is described on its Facebook page as “Buckhead’s favorite Sports Club.”
