Nothing says Friday the 13th like the kickoff of a horror film festival at the Kemper Center.
Port of Fear Film Festival hosts and organizers David and Jeannette Haight are bringing their third annual film festival to the shores of Lake Michigan at the Kemper Center, 6501 Third Ave., starting Friday night, and running through Saturday.
Friday’s event kicks off at 3 p.m. with a screening of short apocalyptic films in the Kemper Center gymnasium, and the night ends with a screening of “Phoenix Incident” on the lawn of the Kemper Center at 8 p.m., with an after party at the Apis Hotel, 614 56th St., scheduled for 10 p.m. to follow.
