A PUBLIX supermarket has announced the closure of a store in one US state after 50 years of business.
A location in Florida is set to shut its doors at the start of next month.
Located in Jacksonville, Florida, about a two-hour drive from Orlando, the store will leave Deerwood Village shopping center on October 5, the Jacksonville Daily Record reported.
The store will reportedly be torn down after its closure and a new Publix location will be built in its place.
Publix spokesperson Hannah Herring said there was currently no timeline for the reopening of the location.
