Quinnipiac students speak on President Donald Trump’s immigration policies [Video]

HAMDEN, Conn. — President Donald Trump is starting off his second term by making good on many of the promises he made on the campaign trail.

People on Quinnipiac University’s campus in Hamden are speaking up regarding Trump’s executive orders. Some said they are worried, and others said Trump is simply doing what he pledged to do when inaugurated.

“Donald Trump had many supporters among the youth and also at Quinnipiac University,” Dr. Scott McLean, Quinnipiac University political science professor, said. “So, you’ll hear a range of opinions. You’ll also hear some people say, regardless of who they voted for in the election, this is a tragedy and very dangerous, or this is not a big deal.”

McLean said Trump’s immigration policy will happen in phases and require a lot of resources.
