The back-and-forth toggling between starting quarterbacks for the Las Vegas Raiders carries on into Week 16.
Aidan O’Connell is back to full health from a knee injury and will be starting under center against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce confirmed via Adam Schefter.
“Raiders HC Antonio Pierce told reporters that QB Aidan O’Connell “should be good to go” to start Sunday vs. the Jaguars,” Schefter said on X.
O’Connell was carted off the field in an air cast in the Raiders’ 28-14 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 14 with a knee strain. He was listed as questionable for the following week and ultimately deemed out after testing his knee out in warmups ahead of the Falcons game.
The Raiders had kept O’Connell as a third-string emergency backup option during Monday’s 15-9 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
