GENESEE COUNTY, Mich. (WJRT) – For many new moms, breastfeeding and even finding space to pump can be a challenge after a baby arrives.
But a local agency hopes to provide tools to mothers and families, as well as businesses and organizations to make the process easier.
ABC12 learned more about a new breastfeeding toolkit and “Make Room” campaign.
The goal of program is to build safe lactation spaces for black and brown communities in Genesee County and offer access to breastfeeding tools and resources.
REACH is short for Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health.
The Greater Flint Health coalition program is federally funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
