Run Crazy Horse celebrates 14 years of running [Video]

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – Run Crazy Horse started in 2010, and now the race is turning 14.

The race has even made a list of top marathons to travel for. Emily Wheeler, one of the founders and organizers of the race, said that this year they have people registered from 44 different states, Canada, and Sweden.

The event has 1k, 5k, half marathon, and marathon options. Registration is open for those wanting to race in the shorter distances Saturday, Oct. 5.

Wheeler explained the race takes year-round planning and many volunteers to make it happen. She said the race runs like a well-oiled machine since most of the volunteers have been a part of Run Crazy Horse since the beginning.
