SACRAMENTO, California — A vandalism at a Sacramento store is being investigated as a potential bias-related incident, according to police.
The Sacramento Police Department said the vandalism happened at QueerShoppe, located along Broadway, on Friday night. The vandals smashed a glass window and door at the business.
Amelia Nahman, founder for the store, said one of the windows had programmed lighting, specifically of a rainbow, and that the damaged window also had stickers supporting all communities.
QueerShoppe is a vintage clothing store and the owners said the shop is open to all and intended for everyone to feel safe and confident in who they are.
