SBA and local organizations launch recovery centers and funds to support businesses, victims and families affected by the Bourbon Street attack.
NEW ORLEANS — The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced the opening of two Business Recovery Centers (BRCs) in New Orleans to assist businesses and residents affected by the Bourbon Street terror attack on New Year’s Day.
“SBA’s Business Recovery Centers are a cornerstone of our support for business owners,” said Francisco Sánchez Jr., associate administrator for the Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience at the SBA. “At these centers, business owners can meet face-to-face with specialists to apply for disaster loans and access a wide range of resources to guide them through their recovery.”
The centers, located at the Palace Café and the New Orleans Public Library’s main branch, will provide services Monday through Saturday, with closures scheduled for Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Jan. 20.
