SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The new year is not far away and the South Dakota Highway Patrol has already announced its sobriety checkpoints for the month of January.
The checkpoints are funded by the South Dakota Office of Highway Safety and are designed to discourage people from driving impaired. A total of 17 South Dakota counties will have checkpoints conducted starting on the first day of the new year.
