BROOKINGS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -The South Dakota State Jackrabbits defended their FCS title last year under new head coach Jimmy Rogers with almost the entire starting lineup back from the previous season.
This year they are the pre-season pick to win it all again, but they lost a ton of talent to graduation.
So fall camp has taken a more aggressive approach since there are so many players trying to win playing time in Brookings.
SDSU Football Coach Jimmy Rogers says, “We’ve got a younger team. We’ve got a ton of guys who haven’t played a lot of snaps. But there’s also a lot of veteran guys on this team that just taken a ton in practice but haven’t got a lot of reps in games.
