SEDONA, AZ (AZFamily) — For those looking for a place to escape this holiday weekend, Sedona could be a great spot.
However, it is one of their busiest times of the year, and businesses are preparing for the increased traffic.
Over three million people visit Sedona a year, and with the usual fall rush and crowd during the holiday weekend, the town is packed.
Donna has lived in Sedona on and off for 38 years and worked at Touchstone Gallery for eight.
“This week is packed out,” she said. “The town is booked!”
She said fall and spring are usually their busy seasons, and people from all over the world visit their crystal shops.
The number of tourists is only increasing.
“It’s doubled, tripled since the pandemic,” Donna said. “We do get people from all over. I’ve shipped huge Smokey courts to Japan this year. I mean they come for the crystals.”
