MADISON, Wis. (WLAX.WEUX) – A new bill is being introduced to help small businesses after last winter’s low snowfall. Senator Tammy Baldwin introduced the Winter Recreation Small Business Recovery Act today (9/12/24) to make sure businesses that rely on Winter Weather can get disaster relief funding during mild Winters. This comes after Baldwin says the US Small Business Administration provided Disaster Coverage after being pushed by her and Governor Tony Evers.
This bill would make sure that funding is available every mild Winter. “That’s a major hit and what we have is various numbers of disaster relief loans available in cases of flood or drought. but don’t have anything that helps businesses in the event of a lack of snow.”
Baldwin says this new bill would make sure that funding is available to small businesses every mild winter.
