Several state parks offer free New Years Day hikes in Oregon [Video]

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – To celebrate the new year, several Oregon state parks are offering free day passes and guided hikes on Jan. 1.

All offered hikes will be guided by a park ranger or volunteer who will share information about the parks, geology, wildlife and plants.

Day-use parking fees will be waived at all open parks that normally charge a parking fee.
