Small businesses hope to cash in on Super Bowl LIX [Video]

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – In less than four months, New Orleans will host Super Bowl LIX.

The big game is expected to generate millions and the NFL wants underrepresented businesses to cash in.

“It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be in the arena, literally with the NFL and all of the power they have to platform and help other people to get to know each other,” said Ben Miller, co-founder of the Judy Garlands.

The NFL partnership with the New Orleans Super Bowl Host Committee is working with over 200 business owners from historically underrepresented backgrounds. Those include minorities, women, LGBTQ+ and those with disabilities. Monday, businesses were able to network with each other, NFL executives and the Super Bowl LIX host committee.
