NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – Small businesses, nonprofits and places of worship in South Carolina facing financial challenges have just over a month remaining to apply for assistance with their utility bills through Dominion Energy.
Dominion Energy representatives say they recognize the key role these groups play in the community and are committed to providing their support.
This opportunity comes from Dominion Energy’s EnergyShare for Small Business program. The organizations that apply must meet certain criteria to be considered.
To be eligible for this program you must:
- Get your electrical services through Dominion Energy
- Obtain an active business account and license to conduct business within Dominion Energy South Carolina’s service zone
- Be classified as a small general service customer by Dominion Energy South Carolina based on a qualifying rate
- Employ 50 or fewer people as of Jan 1, 2024
- Have a past due amount equal to or more than $300, in addition to their existing charges
