A small plane made an emergency landing on a busy roadway in Albany on Friday. New York State Police say it happened on the Thruway near Exit 23 around 12:43 p.m. The pilot and two passengers on board were not injured. Police say the plane departed from Fairfield County Airport in Winnsboro, South Carolina, just after 8:30 on Friday morning. State police confirmed with NBC5 that the plane was heading to Bennington, Vermont, before it had to make an emergency landing on the Thruway.
