RAPID CITY, S.D – It was a successful opening weekend for the Rapid City Stevens boys and girls soccer teams.
Both squads are sitting at 2-0 after Saturday’s matches.
The Stevens boys defeated O’Gorman on Saturday by a score of 5-0.
In fact, the Raiders have yet to allow a goal in two matches.
Stevens girls shut out O’Gorman
After leading 1-nil at halftime, Rapid City Stevens scored four more goals in the second half and defeated O’Gorman on Saturday in girls soccer, 5-nil.
The Raiders will hit the road next weekend to play Mitchell and Huron on Aug. 23-24.

Central boys suffer another disappointing loss
Rapid City Central hosted Yankton on Saturday in boys soccer.
Despite a great effort by the Cobblers, Yankton defeated Rapid City, 2-nil.
Nels Hanson and Jack Peterson each scored a goal for Yankton.
