While this weekend’s snow will probably be less than a foot, people are still gearing up.
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — South Lake Tahoe is getting ready for snow season.
Tahoe Gear Exchange is about to start its second winter in business. Owner Andrew Zaslove is excited for snow.
“Fall is always a slow time in Tahoe. The seasons are the coolest but we definitely don’t have a lot of recreation going on, tourists coming into town. Winter really, really helps with intake and revenue. Winter is definitely our best season,” said Zaslove.
While this weekend’s snow will probably be less than a foot, people are still gearing up.
“In the last week, we’ve had a lot of people coming up, starting with the storm last week. People got really excited for winter sports (with) Heavenly starting to announce and showing all their snowmaking going on,” said Zaslove.
