“This is the start of National Telecommunicators’ Week and I’d like to read something that the 911 center received recently,” said Emergency Management/911 Center Director Richard Fultz at the April 14 meeting of the Perry County commissioners.

“Emergency Health Services Federation (EHSF) would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation for the unwavering dedication and service to the EMS system in South Central Pennsylvania. It is a privilege to partner with your organization as we strive to enhance quality EMS throughout South Central Pennsylvania. On March 9, 2024, a call was received for a female in labor.

“Through your communication center’s quick response, prompt dispatching of appropriate resources and accurate instructions provided to the caller, a citizen was helped through the delivery of a baby girl. We would like to congratulate you and the dispatchers for your special efforts.’”
