A disconnection notice is not something Jacobe Constante thought he would face this holiday season.
“You can see we are behind on bills as well,” Jacobe said as he sat at his kitchen table looking over a stack of bills.
He is a mobile car wash and detailer.
It’s a job that had been financially good to him since he started in 2020, but when the City implemented Stage 3 water restrictions two weeks ago, his livelihood was suddenly cut off.
“We cannot wash the car at any residence, we can’t bring a water tank, we can’t even supply our own water to get the job done,” Jacobe said.
