OVERNIGHT – NEW YEAR’S DAY: The last day of 2024 was a seasonable one, with mostly cloudy skies, temperatures in the low-20s and a northwest breeze that made temperatures feel colder. But at least we saw no fog for New Year’s Eve. Overnight into the morning hours, temperatures will drop into the single digits to low-teens, with light northwest winds. On the bright side, while skies will be overcast in Lakes Country, partly clear skies may occur in eastern ND. By the afternoon hours, temperatures will only reach the upper-single digits in the Devils Lake Basin and low-to-mid-teens for the rest of our region. On the bright side, some areas will see sunny skies, so 2025 will start off on a brighter note. Have a safe and wonderful New Year’s Day!
