Leaders in Winooski are issuing a scam alert for Section 8 housing applicants.The warning comes after several housing assistance advertisements were found across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. The scam is catching the attention of state officials, including Vermont Attorney General Charity Clark, who said these types of scams are being tracked daily.”We see 5,000 scam reports a year.
