The Steinbach Chamber of Commerce held their annual Business Excellence Awards’ ceremony Thursday evening at the Friedensfeld Community Centre.
Not only are businesses honoured in a number of categories, but the ceremony is also a chance for the Steinbach Chamber of Commerce to connect with their members, give an update on the last year, and talk about plans for the coming year.
Steinbach Mayor Earl Funk also gave a ‘state of the city’ address, highlighting the significant investments that the federal and provincial governments have put into the city’s largest ongoing projects. These projects include the Southeast Event Centre, Parkhill Elementary School, Bethesda Hospital expansion, and the Highway 12 and Loewen Boulevard intersection redesign.
