JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – “Stop the Hate” rallies continue in Jackson to combat violence in the Capital City.
The effort is spearheaded by Reset Jackson, a community organization that is finding ways to improve the city while spreading messages, like Saturday’s event, which asked all Jacksonians to put down the guns and stop the violence.
City, county, and state leaders made their way to the intersection of Ellis Avenue and Capitol Street, where this week’s “Stop the Hate” rally took place.
Many people took to the streets, raising their concerns with the issues of gun violence in the Capital City, as well as State Representative Fabian Nelson. He says he will continue to be at these events until a change is made.
