Sunday Forecast: Cooler with some isolated showers possible [Video]

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – It may have been breezy on Saturday, but it sure was mild. Mild days are nowhere to be seen this upcoming workweek as lows fall below freezing and highs drop into the 40s. More importantly though, a significant rain maker is heading our way as some locations could see 2 inches of rain.

Now the showers we saw in southeast Nebraska on Saturday were triggered by a cold front moving across the state. This front could cause some more showers in the same general region on Sunday, but behind the front mid to upper 50s are expected.

As mentioned above, the big weather story in the next 48 hours is the incoming unsettled weather for Monday. Not a major concern, but still a possibility is the chance to see some isolated flash flooding in central and eastern Nebraska.
