Taylor Chip to build production facility in Lancaster County [Video]

The money will support the planned expansion of Taylor Chip, which is planning a 25,000-square-foot expansion at its production facility in West Hempfield Township.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro on Thursday announced that a Lancaster County cookie company will get $3.5 million in state grants and loans to support the planned construction of a $15 million production facility.

Taylor Chip will build the new, 25,000-square-foot facility, located at 1780 Columbia Ave. in West Hempfield Township, next to its existing location, Shapiro’s office said.

The planned expansion is expected to create 35 new full-time jobs, according to Shapiro.

According to LNP | LancasterOnline, Taylor Chip was founded in 2018 by Doug and Sara Taylor. The company produces more than 30 cookie flavors and has sales and production facilities in five locations across Central PA. 

The new facility will allow Taylor Chip to expand its manufacturing operation, including the ability to produce ice cream.
