Temperatures could get as low as -20 degrees Tuesday night into Wednesday morning [Video]

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) – Low temperatures Tuesday morning reached into the negative double digits, but even colder air moves into NCWV Tuesday night.

The record low temperature for the city of Clarksburg on January 22nd is -16 degrees. We are forecasting a low of -12 degrees.

The record low for Elkins on January 22nd is -23 degrees from 1984. We are forecasting a low of -18 degrees.

The record low for Morgantown on January 22nd is -5 degrees from 1984. We are forecasting a new record low with a temperature of -10 degrees.

These are official climate locations for the National Weather Service. While they are representative of the big picture, local low spots could easily fall to -20 degrees.
