RAPID CITY, S.D. – The discussion continues over the Rapid City Summer Night’s permit application as the popular concert series faces scrutiny from downtown businesses. As part of due process, the Rapid City Legal and Finance Committee met today to discuss if they want to move forward with the permit and to hear from members of the public.
Summer Nights is held every Thursday evening from Memorial Day to Labor Day on 7th Street and has been a beloved tradition for 17 years. However, concerns raised by over 40 downtown businesses have sparked a debate about the event’s location and its impact on the surrounding community.
