The new year is here, which means new laws are officially on the books in Maine. Several of them will directly impact how much money Mainers bring home. One of the biggest changes this year is the beginning of the Paid Family Medical Leave State Fund. Starting today, January 1, working Mainers and their employers will begin paying into the new fund.
