Thursday marks the first day of an unseasonably hot stretch in North Alabama | News [Video]

Thursday morning is cool and incredibly pleasant with temperatures in the low and mid-60s. But dress is layers today because this afternoon is the start of a very unseasonably warm stretch.

High temperatures this afternoon will rise to near 90 with humidity factored in, feeling like the low to mid-90s. We’ll keep plenty of sunshine today but unfortunately barely any breeze to speak of.

Friday and this weekend remain sunny but just continue to warm with high temperatures in the mid-90s, feeling like the upper 90s. Next Monday and Tuesday stay warm, sunny, and dry.

Wednesday through the following weekend bring scattered chances for rain and cold fronts, working in conjunction, to drop our high temperatures to the upper 70s.
