Just six games after moving into the starting lineup, Minnesota Timbewolves guard Donte DiVincenzo is sidelined indefinitely with a toe injury.
The Timberwolves announced the injury Monday afternoon ahead of their Martin Luther King Jr. Day game against the Memphis Grizzlies. The injury is a Grade 3 sprain to DiVincenzo’s left big toe. He suffered it on Wednesday against the Warriors and had missed two games with the injury prior to Monday’s.
Per the Timberwolves, they’re seeking a second opinion to determine the best treatment options. DiVincenzo was wearing a walking boot in Minnesota’s locker room prior to the game against the Grizzlies.
DiVincenzo joined the Timberwolves in the offseason in the trade that sent Karl-Anthony Towns to the New York Knicks in exchange for a package that also included Julius Randle and a first-round pick.
