Toledo NAACP responds to Trumps orders to end DEI initiatives [Video]

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – In a flurry of executive orders In his first few days in office, President Donald Trump also took aim at diversity, equity and inclusion. Unwinding decades-long priorities for the federal government and broader efforts to push the private sector to ensure its workforce is diverse and inclusive too.

“My heart just sank,” Darlene Sweeney-Newbern, President of the Toledo chapter of the NAACP said.

Reactions are pouring in regarding Trump’s executive orders attempting to end diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.

“The best way to stop discriminating against people on the basis of race or gender is to stop discriminating against people on the basis of race or gender,” Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., said.
