ORANGE CITY, IA. (Dakota News Now) -The Northwestern Red Raider volleyball team is ranked #1 in the NAIA thanks to a perfect start before Wednesday’s match with Viterbo.

And head coach Kyle VandeBosch isn’t surprised. He only lost 2 players from last year’s very talented squad and they have picked right up where they left off last winter.

Kyle VandenBosch, NW Volleyball Coach says, “That helps coming in when you’ve got your passers, setters and quite a few of your hitters back. It’s just finding that rhythm early of connections and getting back into game-playing mode. I think all of that matters but the girls have done a really good job of starting out the season.”

The Red Raiders won their match Wednesday night over #15 Viterbo to improve to 17-0.
