GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Starting Monday, Nov. 11, you can help make sure kids in our area have a toy to open on Christmas morning.
The U.S. Marines’ Toys for Tots toy drive is getting underway, and those familiar red and white boxes are going out at local businesses, including the WBAY Building lobby, for new, unwrapped toys. See the growing list of drop-off sites here.
All different types of toys are needed, for infants to high schoolers.
The Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay says the teen category is where they typically run short. If you’re looking for ideas, consider headphones, makeup, and sports equipment.
Next month, families will be able to shop among the donations for their children, including stocking stuffers, games, books and bigger toys.
Last year the Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay distributed toys to 2,400 families, but this year there will be a limit to the number of families the program …
