Troup’s animal control strategy to start in November [Video]

TROUP, Texas — People on East McKay Street in Troup enjoy being close to the school, splash pad, coffee shop, and library. However, they’re facing a problem with stray dogs making their walks unsafe.

“Dogs chase joggers, people walking dogs or riding bikes. We even had a neighbor get bitten after walking up on a stray sleeping dog under their car,” said Jade Wray, a Troup mother of four children. “We have been approached in the past by dogs that showed aggression, restricting us to even get into our car, and also very sweet dogs just passing through.”
