Two Rutherford County schools switch to eLearning due to major leak [Video]

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Rutherford County Schools said two schools have switched to eLearning on Thursday due to a major water leak.

According to the district, East Rutherford High School and Ellenboro Elementary School will observe a remote learning day and an optional teacher workday for faculty and staff.

This announcement comes after a “total failure” at the main water pump station serving the town of Ellenboro took place on Wednesday.

Officials said water service at both locations is not expected to be restored until late afternoon.
