Vanderbilt University working on expansion into Florida [Video]

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Vanderbilt University is working on plans to expand into the Sunshine State. School officials confirmed they’re in discussions about bringing its business education and computing programs to West Palm Beach.

“[It’s] an area of tremendous growth and investment in private equity, venture capital, fintech and investment banking,” Senior Media Relations Specialist John O’Brien said in a statement to News 2.

Current plans call for over 300,000 square feet of space, including the main academic building, student housing and a parking garage. The school would have more than 1,000 students.
