Virginia school’s new program expands academic year to 200 days [Video]

While most schools nationwide are starting the new academic year, students at a district in Virginia have already been back for nearly six weeks. Richmond Public Schools started their 200-day school year July 22 for some of its elementary schools. The experimental program started in 2023 as a way to make up for the learning loss from the pandemic.
