Walgett Multipurpose Service – a great place to work

Walgett Multipurpose Service is a modern facility (completed 2016) with 16 acute beds and an 8 bed residential aged care unit.  Services include 24/7 emergency care, general medicine, rehabilitation, respite and palliative care, renal dialysis, outpatient services and a range of primary and community health care services.

Community health services include aboriginal health, ambulatory care, child and family health, dementia advisory services, integrated care, mental health, women’s health, sexual health and physiotherapist.

Also within the facility are a pathology

department, ambulance service, rural and remote doctors surgery and radiology department.

Walgett also has visiting specialists including ears, nose and throat specialist, general surgeon, nephrology clinic, respiratory physician, oncologist, ophthalmologist, optometrist, hearing specialist and chiropractor.
