PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) – Winter is starting out with a brief cold, but warmer temperatures are on the way to close out 2024.
Sunday also failed to get above freezing, and will get cold again tonight, with temperatures in the low 20s to upper teens.
Monday will start the warming trend with the biggest jump, reaching up into the mid 40s. There will be a chance of some precipitation Monday night, with a very slim possibility of wintry precipitation.
Tuesday will have similar temperatures to Monday, with overcast skies and lingering showers in the area.
Christmas Day has a little bit of disagreement on whether precipitation is going to fall in the region. Scattered showers are possible throughout the day, but the MOV has a low chance of seeing rain on Christmas.
